2) 07.09.2022 excursion to the Halaktyr beach (Pacific Ocean).
3) 13-19.09.2022 -  excursion to the Tolbachik volcano.

4) 10.09.2022 - excursion to the volcano Gorely.

The number of participants for all excursions is limited, sign up for excursions in advance. For foreign citizens, advance registration is required due to the need to obtain permits to visit the facilities.

VISITING THE TOP OF THE VOLCANO GORELY with inspection of its three main, long-acting cones: Gorely-1, Gorely-2 and Gorely-3.

Need to bring: waterproof jacket and trousers, warm clothes (fleece sweaters, hats, gloves), comfortable waterproof shoes (hiking boot), sunglasses, trekking sticks (optional), personal first aid kit, sun cream (in case the sun, optional).

EXCURSION ON PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY

EXCURSION TO HALAKTYR BEACH

EXCURSION INCLUDES:
VISITING THE HALAKTYR BEACH (a walk along the multi-kilometer black sand beach, which is a titanomagnetite deposit; shiksha and dogrose grow along the coast),
VISITING THE VIEWING PLACE WITH A CITY VIEW, MINI PICNIC.

EXCURSION TO TOLBACHIK VOLCANO

DATES: 13-19.09.2022.
APPROXIMATE TIME: DEPARTURE EARLY MORNING 13.09, RETURN LATE AFTERNOON 19.09.
PLACE OF DEPARTURE: BUL. PIAPA 9.
Note: the number of participants is limited. The organizing committee reserves the right to coordinate the settlement of glamping in case of increased demand.

BRIEF GUIDE:


FIRST DAY (16.09):

 Option 1 (under good weather and road conditions): the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky-Tolbachik road (stop in Milkovo settlement), the total travel time is about 15 hours.

 Option 2 (in case of problems with weather and road conditions): Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky road, Kozyrevsk (stop at Milkovo), overnight in Kozyrevsk.


DAY TWO (17.09):

 Option 1: visit to the new lava flow of the Cracked eruption named after the 50th anniversary of the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology 2012-2013 (TTI-50), A.A. Menyailova and S.I. Naboko cones, lava caves.

 Option 2: early morning departure from Kozyrevsk to Tolbachik volcano. Visit to the slag cones of 1975. Northern breakthrough of the Great Fissure Tolbachik eruption 1975-1976. (BTI).


DAY THREE (18.09):

 Option 1: visit to the slag cones of 1975 (Northern BTI breakthrough, active fumaroles); visiting the lava flow, slag cones and fumaroles of the eruption 2012-2013 (TTI-50).

 Option 2: visit to the new lava flow of the Cracked eruption named after the 50th anniversary of the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology 2012-2013, A.A. Menyailova and S.I. Naboko cones, lava caves.


FOURTH DAY (19.09): visit (depending on weather conditions): ascent to Tolbachik; visit to the BTI South Breakthrough; a visit to the Star Crater, a walk through the Dead Forest, other slag cones.


DAY FIFTH (20.09): Tolbachik-Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky road, stop in Milkovo settlement.

Need to bring: heat and waterproof clothing (jackets, hats, gloves, trousers), hiking boots, flashlight, personal medical kit, backpack, garden ware.

During the excursion to Tolbachik, the school participants are provided with 2 accommodation options, different in cost:

1) In tent-houses (Glamping). Glamping consists of 4 comfortable camping houses, with a capacity of 5-7 people. Glamping is equipped with a kitchen, in June the organizers of this camp are planning to add a shower or a bath there.

 Approximate cost of living with meals: 45,000 rubles

 

2) In rented tents on the territory of glamping.

Historical Exhibition Center "City of Military Glory"
Address: st. Radio Communications, 69.

The museum has over 15 thousand items. Among them: samples of weapons and military equipment, insignia and awards, military banners, paintings, sculptures and other valuable objects. It also stores personal items, unique documents and photographs, front-line diaries and memoirs of veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the Armed Forces. In the park area of ​​the Center exhibited samples of military equipment and weapons.


Kamchatka Regional United Museum
Address: st. Leninsky, 20

The museum has a large museum collection, which has more than 120 thousand unique museum items on the history of the region. The museum funds include items on archeology, ethnography of the indigenous peoples of Kamchatka, unique books of the 17th-21st centuries, paintings and graphic works by Kamchatka artists, memorial collections and archival funds.


Kamchatka Regional Art Museum
Address: st. Leninsky, 62

The museum's collection has more than 3,000 exhibits. The museum pays great attention to the preservation and development of artistic crafts and crafts of the indigenous peoples of the North that inhabit the Kamchatka Territory. In the halls of the museum regularly hosts exhibitions of works of folk artists and photo exhibitions depicting the life and traditional culture of the natives of Kamchatka.


Museum of Volcanoes "Volcanarium"
Address: st. Klyuchevskaya, 34

The interactive, multimedia, popular science museum, which talks about the volcanoes of Kamchatka and the World, impresses with its visual range and informational content.
The museum’s exposition includes, in addition to rock samples and rich photo and video material, unique working physical models of lava flows that convey the unusual atmosphere of Kamchatka’s natural wonders give a modern scientific view of the phenomena occurring in the unique region.

PARKS, VIEWING AREAS, THERMAL SOURCES

Park on Nikolskaya Sopka
A renewed park on a hill in the city center with equipped pedestrian zones, viewing platforms, installations, information stands reflecting key stages in the history of the city. The park can be reached on foot from the city center (landmark Central Lenin Square).


Observation deck at Mishennaya Sopka
In clear weather, from the viewing platforms of the hill, a beautiful view of the volcanoes of Koryaksky, Avachinsky and Kozelsky and Avachinsky Bay opens. From the top of the hills paraglide flights. You can walk to the observation deck from the foot of the hills (stop “DK KSTU”, comfortable shoes are required) or take a passing car or taxi.


Paratunka thermal springs
The spa resort Paratunka with a large number of hot thermal springs is located 40-50 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Bathing is possible in the equipped hot pools of recreation centers (price about 500 rubles / hour). You can get there by intercity buses to Vilyuchinsk and Termalny from the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky bus station and by taxi.


Park "Bear Lake"
The park is located near the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, on the lake. The park has small architectural forms and arbours (landmark of Zarechnaya St. 11a).


Roundabout observation deck
In clear weather, the observation deck offers excellent views of the bay, center and southern part of the city. There is a cafe here. The observation deck can be reached by taxi (landmark of Vysotnaya St. 35).


Malaya Lagernaya Bay
A picturesque bay overlooking the Avacha Bay. You can take a shuttle bus going to the village of Zavoyko, and then walk about 1 km.


Monument "Russia Begins Here"
Sculptural composition near the entrance to the city of Elizovo and 4 km from the airport. The monument can be reached by public transport from the city of Yelizovo, as well as a taxi (the road from the airport will take about 5-7 minutes). From Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to the monument can be reached by taxi (distance of about 30 km).
